Hey y’all. In keeping with this month’s theme of renewal, I’m going to ask you – what’s wrong with the photo below?
Yup – it’s that remote control! It’s so ugly. So let’s renew it by putting a pretty cover on it.
You’ll need:
- Velcro
- Fabric
- Your remote (to measure)
Measure your fabric by folding it over the remote, remembering to add seam allowances.
Fold down the top edge about 1/2″ and lay the velcro over it. Stitch the velcro in place, then fold the fabric right sides together and sew the long and short edge.
Turn your pocket right side out, and insert your remote. Close the Velcro.
Voila! Much better than that ugly uncovered remote.
And in case anyone is wondering, “Does the remote still work when it’s inside that lovely bag?” I’d like to say
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

Thanks for making my day! I think I got nearly a full 5 minutes of crazy laughing to myself out of that one. The post looked even funnier previewed via Feedly. Cheers,

LOL! The whole time I was asking myself, “I wonder how you are going to be able to see the numbers.” I never even thought of it as an April Fool’s Joke. You got me!!

I’m reading this and thinking, “Seriously, would people make this? Does a remote in a bag really look better, or even work? I am not that familiar with my buttons to not see them….” Then I totally regretted investing that much thought. Hilarious!
