Another early venture into making my own patterns.
For this dress I took the top of one pattern and the bottom of another and combined them.
I added several lines of elastic casing at the high waistline because this was well before I discovered elastic thread bobbins.
I also added some tiny crochet trim someone gave me. It was a last minute decision and almost didn’t make it onto the dress, but I’m glad it did because it’s the perfect touch.

I love this dress- so pretty! And you are right, the crochet trim is a nice touch. I envy your sewing abilities. I’m still a beginner with not many successes yet in the sewing department.

Where can I get that pattern?! It is so beautiful!
Melissa
Ummm…you can’t. I designed it and there’s not a pattern. Although I guess I could add it to my list of patterns to work on.
