Hey y’all – I wanted to take a moment to talk about an event I attended last month – Baby Lock Common Threads. One of the reasons I love being a Baby Lock blogger is this event, where they bring a small group together at their headquarters to share the love of sewing.
I love that my friend Kate and I get to start our conversations on the plane since I usually have to fly through Dallas to get to St. Louis. And then once there, hanging out with so many lovely people (only a few of whom are pictured below) is just amazing.

Clockwise from top left – me and Kate, tired roommates after eating midnight pancakes and chatting, me and Stef, Stef, Kate, Katy and Dana and I snapping a picture
But more than getting friend and sewing time, I love that Baby Lock is a company that gives back. This year we sewed 30 skirts for Skirting the Issue, and we also got introduced to another charity organization – Quilts of Valor.
You can see what Quilts of Valor is all about in the short video below. If the video below doesn’t show up, you can also see it here.
Even if you’re not a quilter, you can join Quilts of Valor to help with their mission. Find more information about them here.
And you can read my recap of Common Threads from last year here.

O. M. G. Thank you for not calling it a selfie. I hate that word!

Super glad you had fun!

Oh how much fun! Trips like this are so inspirational. How I wish that Janome had a similar event.
