(I know regular readers are thinking, “What? Posts two days in a row?” Well, we’re trying something new here, but no promises that this is going to be a daily thing)
If you’ve ever visited my About Me page you know I’m a member of an exclusive club – coaches’ wives. My husband is a high school football coach, and in Texas that’s a second religion. There’s a reason Friday Night Lights was set here.
Another member of the club has a precious boy about to turn one, and she asked me if I could make him a football uniform for his birthday. So this is my baby version of the uniforms worn by the team his daddy coaches.
For the jersey I used my Football Jersey tutorial. The pants were made from a t-shirt (more de-stashing of my upcycling pile). To make them, cut out like this
I used Stitch Witchery to hold the strip in place while I sewed it on each edge. The ankle casings are made from the hem on the t-shirt, so I didn’t sew all the way down until after I put the ankle elastic in.
Super easy and super cute!
