Cotton Gauze Maxi Skirt

Photobucket
Cotton gauze is a fabric I LOVE, especially for summer. It gets HOT in Texas, and this is the perfect fabric to keep cool. It has a lovely drape, that hugs in the right places (if I had taken pictures of the back of this skirt, you’d see cotton gauze gives me a great booty!) and skims the others, like a nice knit but cooler. The only drawback is that it is pretty see-through, so with this skirt I’m wearing a nude colored slip.

The skirt is a basic three tiered drawstring waist. Each tier is slightly fuller than the one above it, so you have to gather each tier to sew it. I’m wearing it with an Anthropologie shirt, and Tater is behind (or to the side?) of the camera again taking pictures, so you only get the one angle.

Are you as excited for Project Run and Play as I am? Make sure to check in Friday to see my first week’s look for the Circle Skirt Remix theme. I can’t wait!

  5. I love this skirt! So cute and so modest. I did a similar skirt but I used denim for the top.
