Hey y’all – today I’m sharing the last of this year’s Halloween costumes, the White Rabbit costume. I was very surprised that when the kids were discussing costumes no one wanted to be the Mad Hatter (though they are now trying to convince their uncle to fill that role) but I wasn’t really surprised that this animal lover wanted to be the White Rabbit.
One of these years I will probably buy Halloween costumes and simplify my life, but I have such fond memories of wearing costumes that my own mom sewed, that I feel like it’s worth it to make the effort and sew for my kids, even if they’re things that only get worn a couple times.
But in the meantime, I used a mix of store bought clothes he already owned, unmodified patterns and a pair of ears that someone had given to my niece for Easter to make this look.
This look is made from the Basic Blazer, the BBC Vest, and a bow tie from this tutorial. Paired with a white button up and gray jeans, and topped with ears, we have a complete White Rabbit.
One day a sweet White Rabbit was walking in a field.
And suddenly he realized he was late for a very important date.
He starting hopping along as quickly as he could, not noticing the little blonde girl that started chasing him.
And that crazy girl continued to chase him all through Wonderland!
But luckily everyone met a happy ending, including their mom/aunt, who was happy to be done sewing costumes!
