Hey everyone! Brittany here from www.brittanyjjones.com and I’m so excited to share this easy DIY, inspired by RTW styles, using the Shoreline Boatneck pattern (aff link). As much as I love seeing and getting inspired from RTW fashion, I rarely recreate the looks. Mostly because the styles I love just don’t fit into my day to day lifestyle. Then one day while scrolling Pinterest, I came across pearl accessorized tops and knew I had to give it a go!
The Shoreline Boatneck Tee was the perfect pattern to help me recreate this look! I wanted to keep my style in mind and I tend to wear tees and cardigans daily. This is a great staple pattern and I especially like the curved hem!
To make this pearl accessorized top, I purchased a craft pack of half flat pearls from Amazon. You can add full size pearls with a hole in them to sew them on, but because I have small children, I went with the flat pearls. The pack came with assorted sizes which I love because as you see from my top, I wanted the smaller pearls up top and the other sizes at the hem.
I also purchased Fabric Glue from my local craft store to attach the pearls to the top. This was my first time glueing accessories to fabric but they are going nowhere LOL! Before glueing, I placed the pearls where I wanted them and once I was happy, I simply glued them on.
This was a quick and easy way to jazz up the Shoreline Boatneck and I really love the finished top. It’s definitely inspired me to recreate more RTW styles and find the perfect pattern to make it fit into my lifestyle.
