A special set of screwdrivers for your sewing machine that makes changing the presser foot or removing the throat plate easier
Hey y’all, today we’re taking a look at another unusual sewing machine notion – a sewing machine screwdriver. Or a set of sewing screwdrivers, to be exact. This set was specially designed to work with your sewing machine, and I use mine all the time.

You can check out my video below on how I use these screwdriver set (affiliate link). You can also watch on YouTube here if you prefer.
In short, I love this little set. I keep them in the storage tray in the bed of my sewing machine because I use them so much. In particular the mini sewing machine screwdriver comes out every time I need to remove my throat plate for cleaning. With as much as I sew, that’s pretty often. It’s the perfect size to fit under the needle assembly without having to try to go at an angle.
And when I need to get the needle in really tightly I use the needle screwdriver. You can see in the image below how it has the flat head of the screwdriver surrounded by the casing. This means it doesn’t slip off the needle screw.
To use it, put it around the needle screw and turn with light pressure until you feel the slot of the screwdriver slip into the slot on the screw. Then you can apply more pressure to unscrew or tighten.
So there you go! This is a great little notion set to gift to the sewing hobbyist who has almost everything. Or just treat yourself to this screwdriver set (affiliate link) to make these sewing tasks easier!
