Sew a knit baby dress for summer!
Hey y’all, I’m back with another sundress tutorial today, and this one is baby style! I’m going to show you how to use the Baby T-shirt or Snuggle Pajamas pattern to make a sleeveless dress.
This is a fun little basic for summer, and it’s a nice introduction to sewing with knit fabrics.
Want to make your own? You’ll need
- Either the Baby T-shirt (for size 0-3m) or Snuggle Pajamas pattern (for sizes 3m-12y)
- The skirt chart in this post so that you can determine your skirt length. For the width, measure the bottom of your shirt once it’s sewn and multiply times 1.25.
- Knit fabric – the amount you’ll need will depend on the size dress you’re making
- Clear elastic (affiliate link)
For sewing instructions, watch the video below. If it won’t load for some reason or you prefer you can also watch on YouTube here.
