Since there are so many well-dressed tots around when we go to Symphony Square for Children’s Day Art Park, I try to dress Tater and Bean in clothes I’ve made when we go. Last week Bean wore his Stars Romper and Tater wore his baseball jersey (which I haven’t posted yet – stay tuned). In my head, some nice mom notices that my boys are adorable and dressed adorably and asks about their clothes, to which I happily hand her one of my business cards and she tells all her friends and they buy lots of clothes from my store. So far that hasn’t happened, but one can dream, right?
Anyways, today I made a raglan t-shirt pattern (I think pattern making will be my first tutorial; I even have the perfect item to work from) and then upcycled/refashioned some t-shirts to get this vintage-y t-shirt for Tater to wear this week. I’ve played with lots of ideas about what, if anything to put on it, but I think I’m going to pair it with plaid shorts (see tomorrow, I’m almost finished) and leave it plain.
Now I just have to make sure I have something to wear so I don’t feel as blah as I did last week.
