Hey y’all – today I get to review a book that a friend of mine wrote and another friend contributed to – how fun! On the Go Bags—15 Handmade Purses, Totes & Organizers by Lindsay Conner and Janelle MacKay (Stash Books, available this month at CTPub.com and January 7th on Amazon (affiliate link)). Plus, I’ve got a giveaway at the end of this post with a chance to win a copy, so keep reading.
I got to meet Lindsay at this year’s Baby Lock Common Threads event, and she is such a sweetheart. When she emailed to ask if she could send me a copy of her book for review I was more than happy to say yes. While spending time with her back in June we realized we have another friend in common – Blank Slate Sewing Team member Veronica (who I met a a few years ago) and Lindsay are real life sewing buds that hang out on a regular basis! I have to say I’m a little jealous of that; I always wish I had more sewing friends nearby. Or like a sewing retirement community – wouldn’t that be nice?
And speaking of Veronica, it turns out she contributed to this book!
Veronica designed that super handy shopping cart tote. Wish I had that when my phone fell from its precarious balance on the cart handle and I cracked my phone screen!
A lot of the projects in On the Go Bags are like this one – unconventional, which I like. There’s even one that’s actually an infinity scarf. I don’t know about you, but sometimes as a mom I’ve felt like a pack horse carrying everyone’s stuff, and I look enviously at the Coach, who has blissfully empty hands. Sigh.
Oh, and the men aren’t left out of this book – there’s the “Man Clutch” specifically done in “manly” fabrics, and several other projects in the book would work well for men or even teen boys – like the one shoulder sling featured on the cover.

My favorite type of bag is a small, cross-body shoulder bag that has a separate slot for my iPad and additional space for a few other essentials. I prefer to travel light and have both hands available for whatever comes at me.
Brenda Melahn
I personally only need a “purse” to hold iPhone, credit card, and driver’s license — but love to make purses for my granddaughters and daughter-in-law (who need backpacks, slings, etc.).
Jacqueline
I *love* the look of so many examples that I have seen on several blog posts highlighting the wonderful new book, but – unexpectedly – the shopping cart tote has really caught my eye! It seems such a masterful way of streamlining all the ‘paraphernalia’ that ends up as part of a supermarket shopping expedition – particularly when little helpers are involved…. Equally, I can imagine that it could be modified beautifully for senior members of the family/ community who use a frame or trolley to assist with mobility and I know, would welcome a practical and attractive carry-all to manage books, pens and phone.
Tammy
Excited to see these…stylishly inspirational!
Vontina
This is day 3 and I am enjoying the reading about each designer and the style of bags that move you. So far I need all of them.
Ann Marshall
Hi, I like a larger bag as I have to carry my disabled partner’s Ventolin inhaler and the spacer he uses to take it with. The One Shoulder Sling looks ideal as I can keep my hands free in case he needs to be helped. The shopping trolly tote looks good too. Thank you for hosting the giveaway. Regards Ann (UK)

I have a Ogio crossbody bag that I love that holds everything when I need to take my kids somewhere. But since we are moving towards them being in school more often than not, I have moved to a little bag that has my wallet, keys and phone in it.
I LOVE that sling backpack. I have a sister in law who could use it as a nice baby bag. Perfect to keep your hands free for baby!
Shaneka Giscombe
I love messenger bags that are medium sized: large enough to carry my iPad but too small for me to overfill.
Daya
I love that grocery cart bag! It’s quite ingenius!
Diane
The bigger — the better!!!!! I love big bags. I’m one of those people who always has whatever anyone might need at any given time — eye glasses cleaner, scissors, flashlight, tape measures, you name it. So big is what I like.
bekki
This book looks great. I love the designs I’ve seen, they look so useful. I like small crossbody bags. I only need space for a purse and keys and few other bits and bobs when I’m out.
Diana G
A backpack purse for when we go on rides – easier to stuff things into .. LOL Or a Cross body purse to keep it handy .
Thanks for the chance to win !
Miriam
I am wanting to make the cover bag, but I’ve also seen more in the trailer that I would have to make as well. More projects… sew little time! Keep the ideas coming!!!
Amy
The type of bag I use most is a sling/tote. Between work, volunteering at a theater, and my own kids activities, I have a lot of stuff to keep track of on a daily basis. I need something large enough, with style, and that has different “pockets” for different activities.
Jessica
I need a nice diaper bag! tote bags are super helpful but I’m not loving my current diaper bag!
Heather
Right now my bags need space for a diaper and some wipes, my wallet, and extra space for whatever the big kids stuff in there. However, I prefer something small for a little wallet, keys, phone, and Chapstick. Separate pockets or clips for those things are a great bonus.
Margaret
I carry a crossbody bag that I always wish could hold more.
Amanda
Right now it’s diaper bags! I’ve got a two year old and one due any day.
Lindsay McCain
I like cross-body bags. To me it feels like I can put it on, and not have to worry about it after that.
Claire Sutherland
I love all types of bags but most useful are cross body styles. Perfect for shopping hands free!
Iain.ross30 at gmail dot com
Ulla
Cool bags!
I would love to see what else is in the book. 🙂
Michele
When I’m running errands I carry a crossbody bag, but I store the rest of my junk that won’t fit into it in a tote bag that I leave in my car.
Kathie L
I love crossbodies like the Airport Sling
tracy baker
This book looks sew useful!! I am in love with the grey cross body bag in the first photo! If I won this book it would be hard to choose what to sew first because the hanging cart organizer looks just awesome and something I would get plenty of use of. My favorite every day bag is a crossover wallet I started using a few years ago but it is definitely a time for a change! Plus I bet it has a ton more things I would want to sew for my large family.
Annet M
I really like the look of the back crossover one, but I know my long hair would get caught on it endlessly. The shopping cart one intrigues me!
Lori Morton
Love a shoulder bag for my everyday stuff…easier to be hands free when needed. Specialy with Grangirlie along…or husband..he ALWAYS has things for me to put in my purse too! lol
This book looks Awesome & already put on my Wish List! Thanks for chance to win! 🙂
Cecilia
I usually use a small shoulder bag every day. I only carry a few things, so a small bag is best for me. I do like the looks of some of the other types of bags in this book.
Rena
I have a bit of a bag fetish (just ask the husband). I’m looking for the perfect cross shoulder purse to easily access my phone and keys, but with just enough storage inside. I haven’t found the perfect one yet.
Breenah
I’d LOVE to be able to make that shopping cart bag. Right now my most important bag is any that’s big enough to carry snacks because my daughter is ALWAYS hungry.
Marsha Law
Anything that I can keep on my shoulder with the bulk of 3 sweaters and a parka, and also keep my keys and bus pass handy for my cold fumbling fingers. Or I could trade winter for a bikini and a beach bag. That would be a great bag for my everyday life!
Crystal Chadwick
Tote bags seem to be the most handy.
Liz
I really prefer a medium-sized cross-body bag so I can have my hands free to shop or to carry things to and from the car. This size will hold credit cards, phone, note pad, pens and checkbook, along with some tissues, etc. I also prefer something that is fairly easy to clean and has pockets to easily organize contents. It must have a nice place to drop and easily retrieve my car keys.
Karen
I love bags with lots of compartments and pockets to help keep me organized.
usairdoll
So many awesome bags! I love the mini van organizer. I have a five year old grandson that I see several times a week and who also sleeps over. I’m not sure how but I have tons of his books, toys, clothes and who knows what all over my car. This would be great for us and he could learn to out his stuff in one side of this. Great idea!
Super giveaway!
Chris
I go for the small bag these days. Easy on my shoulder. Looks like a great book.
Fran
I’ve found the most useful bag for me is a medium to large tote bag because the kids or my husband are always wanting me to carry things for them. It’s easier to put them in my bag and keep my hands free.
sarah watkins
who doesn’t love a good bag. yes please !
Judy
I love tote bags, but I would love to try the sling bag, looks great!
Carolyn
My favorite bag is a tote with a top zipper closure and lots and lots of pockets so I can find all my treasures.
Ann
I always like messenger bags. They are roomy for all my stuff, and I like the flap to hide it all! At the same time, it is easy to get access to the bag.
Marilyn
Crossover bag is the most useful, leaves my hands free for my little kids.
Sally Groff
I find bigger bags are more to my liking. Seems I’m always toting things back and forth to other people’s houses. It’s nice to be able to fit everything in one bag rather than 4 or 5. This book looks amazing!
Terry L. Durst
I have a cross-body handbag I use daily. I have gotten so used to having my bag on my right side that when I injured my right shoulder, I could not comfortably carry my bag on my left side. Solution: cross-body bag hanging from left shoulder across to right hip. Bingo! Best and most useful bag solution for me.
Tina
I always try to downsize but end up needing what I’ve left behind so a larger bag for me. I really like the sling bag. Thanks!
Frauke
LOVE the crossover bag. I am always looking for a “so me” bag, I don’t like the ones you can buy in the store.
Linda Kekke
When I was younger I liked smaller bags, now that I have grown older I like larger over the shoulder bags. I might have to try a sling bag.
Keep on sewing.
Eve Theriault
I like cross body bags because they are not too big and keeps my hands free. The bigger the bag, the more stuff I put in and the heavier it gets!
Bobbi
I am going through an almost manic bag making phase and this book looks like a winner to me, I love the practicality of many of the bags and I adore the fact that they are unique and unusual. I am of the mind that you can never have too many bags and if you make bags out of the same fabric as your outfit then that’s a great look.
Debrah
Backpack style bags are my current favorite. Helps minimize my neck and back issues.
Kate Grantham
Right now I use two bags–a tote for my work stuff and a purse for everything else. I’m a little obsessive that my purse have a single handle and zip close! Looking forward to seeing the patterns in this book!
Kelly Vaughn
I need a bag that supports my 11.5 inch tablet, smart phone and purse stuff. Also what project I am taking with me to work on in down times. A few compartments for organization.
Susan
I liked several of these ideas…….my granddaughters would love the over the back tote.
Shareia
I love a great one shoulder sling bag. It is great when I’m vacationing with my children or just out shopping at the mall. I even wear it backwards. I’m definitely a purse/bag fanatic and would love to have a copy of this book!!!
LueAnna Bracha
I love crossover bags to leave my hands free! With lots of pockets
Jolien
I love a smaller type of bag (but larger than a clutch) with loads of pockets to give everything it’s own pocket. Usually I only carry my phone, keys, wallet, tissues and a foldable spare bag with me, so it doesn’t need to be that big to hold a beauty case. I love the option to carry a bag cross-body, it’s a must when keeping an eye on little one’s too. (free hands! ^.^)
L.E.
The chick one shoulder sling would be my go to bag. It looks like a pattern that would work for many fabrics, hold quite a bit without being bulky, and act as a purse with the added benefit of being hands free.
Charis Anderson
As a mom of a 3 year old and a 6 month old, I’m still in “diaper bag” phase. Except not really, because I don’t really like diaper bags, hah! I DO love anything with pockets, and have been searching for that perfect pocketed backpack type bag (so that I don’t whack a kiddo in the head when a purse falls off my shoulder). That sling bag is beautiful!
Carolina
Hi! In my everyday the most usefull bag is a backpack because I’m in college and I have to hava a lot of things with me!! But sometimes I use a big tote (like market ones), but it is a little bit more uncomfortable to carry all that weight in just one shoulder! 🙂
Mindi P
I like messenger bags, I have a toddler and keeping up with what he needs and what I need requires a bit more space then my normal cross body I would carry. I am currently in the process of working on a new one with a front flap pocket, an interior phones/ pens holder, and some side pockets I can slip stuff into on the go. (yes I did say phones, I have two… I don’t ask questions when my boss gives me a work phone)
MARY
There’s a bag for every occasion in my home 🙂
Beth B
What a great collection of bags!
Mama Lusco
I love that cross-body backpack! I enjoy making bags and this looks like a must-have for my book collection. Thanks!
Mary on Lake Pulaski
A cross-body bag with top zipper is my favorite kind of bag!
Marie
My favorite is the infinity scarf bag, which would have been excellent when I was in Europe recently. I found myself wearing a scarf everyday and not having to carry a separate handbag would have made excursions much easier.
Emily
I need big bags (but not too big) to fit toddler supplies! Enough to fit diapers, wipes, and a few stuffed animals. 🙂
Emily D.
These days, I’m a diaper bag kinda gal. So that means the type of bag I’m really interested in is something manly, like the man clutch, because hubby seems to think I should tote around all of HIS stuff in my diaper bag!
cathy
I’ve been wanting a sling bag for a while but couldn’t find the pattern.
sarahem
I almost always have two bags with me: a medium sized crossbody bag and a tote bag with long handles that I can sling over my shoulder. Between my personal effects and things like books, lunch, etc, I need to be prepared!
Debbie M.
I love tote bags, but really need to get a car organizer and iPad tote.
Debbie Bloomquist
I love small organizer clutch or cross body bag. Love making larger bags and giving them to friends and family, though!
Elvira Anadon
I like big, big bags because I put lots of things into: wallet, keys, notepad, ebook, phone, iPad, baby wipes…
Jane
A cross body bag that carries water, bowls, treats and small plastic bags. Not for me you understand but for my dogs!!!!
Faith T
My favorite bag is a crossbody bag that isn’t tiny. As a person who walks with a cane and the spouse of someone in a wheelchair, I MUST have something that can’t and won’t fall off my shoulder or down my arm all the time.
[email protected] mamie
I like smart purses that coordinate with my outfit.
Donna Collins
There’s some patterns in this book that I have been looking for love to have it as I am a Machine embroidery enthusiast see all that potential! Good Luck everyone
Anna
Cross body purse with adjustable strap for the win! You can either do the across body or one shoulder, then.
Emily
Perfect cross body bag for my daily bike commute. I love all options for other bags as well. Great collection to create for myself and gifts for my loved ones!
Julia Miller
I like bags with shorter handles but straps that go all the way around the bag, so they don’t come loose. I find if I use a shoulder bag I get problems with my neck.
Kimberly
I use a messenger style bag everyday. It’s keeps my hands free for all the other kid stuff I have to carry. 🙂
yolanda v
I like totes and bags with lots of pockets.
Cindy S
I love any bag that will make my life easier, and that shopping cart tote looks great!
Judy
I like a small to medium purse that is extremely organized. When I reach for something, I want to find it and not hunt. I think I’m OCD!!
Rj
My 3 year old granddaughter loves all purses…carries any she finds. Would love to make her a smaller one of her own & with her name monogrammed on it just maybe she would like it better 😀
Colleen Pittman
Definitely have to have a long strap to go cross body, and small enough to go under my winter coat… Although I do have a bit of a purse and shoe fetish… Love them!
Dody lennea
Thanks Melissa for helping me find the comment area. I love the looks of the new book, on the go bags. The over the shoulder bag appeals to me as it is hands free so you can shop. Looking at some of the blog tour the bags look wonderfully done, so I think I would really enjoy this new book
dody
MrsHowley
What great projects! I love making my own bags but love giving them away too! My fav are small bags that I can tuck under my arm but with a strap.
Melanie Morin
Right now I use a backpack as a purse/diaper bag because I have 2 kids in diapers and we use cloth, so it takes more space.
Kate
I like a cross body bag, that leaves my hands free.
tac
Love a tote as it is always useful.
Claire
Love the patterns in this book the shopping cart tote would be so useful. I suppose when it comes to bags I have two different needs. One a bag that can carry everything and has a place for everything easily, while keeping my hands free to be on the run with two little ones. And a wallet type which can hold my phone keys and money when I just need to dash out.
Sharon A
The most useful bag for me is one that is comfy to carry and fits everything in it that I need for my two little people.
Kelly Aubert
I love that sling bag in the picture!! I am dying to look thru the book and see what else is in there!!
Lani
Large Cross body tote. I am currently using one I made from emmaline patterns – teardrop bag – in a fabulous pineapple linen fabric. I need room for everything. Plus I can avoid using plastic bags when making purchases.
Lynn
My favorite bag is one that leaves both hands free- like the one shoulder sling with a pocket for my phone that is shown above. I dislike carrying a purse that won’t carry on my shoulder and most purses are too heavy to carry on the shoulder- especially if you have small children with you. The book looks great and thanks for the giveaway! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Ashley
I love the bags pictured!
Vicki Seals
I like cross body bags with lots of pockets-that is my dream bag! Thanks for the great giveaway. vickise at gmail dot com
Erin
A small backpack or a cross-body bag would be most useful in my everyday life. Something that can hold my things but is not too large, and keeps out of the way.
Lynanne Minelli
I like a bag with a long enough strap that fits under my arm and has good organizational pockets so I can get what I need quickly without having to dig through.
LEAH SAMUEL
My heart breaks for small bags that goes over the shoulder with just enough room to hold lipstick, brush and cards, however in my everyday life, (worker, mom, grandmother, Sunday school teacher, craftier, reader) i NEED a large tote /satchel to carry the different parts of my life. something big enough to hold snacks, address books, work tools, maybe a crochet project, medical supplies, ect. I like them to be fairly long with lots of compartments but not so deep that i cant get to the bottom without turning it inside out. Outer pockets are a must for me to hold phone and other quick grabs. if i could also hold a water bottle upright i would more than likely have to marry it.
Tara Sinclair
I love most of these options in this book, everything looks so versatile and handy!
Cindy S.
While I think all purses are fun, I like my small crossbody bag for everyday wear. I like that it leaves both hands free for shopping or whatever else I need to do.
Fiona
I love back packs as they let me keep my hands free ?
Candy M
I would love a bag that will not drop off my shoulders when juggling the groceries and kids at the same time.
Sharlene
These patterns would be great to try using recycled wool!
Sharlene
And….I especially like bags that are large enough to hold a notebook & a few odds & ends. A cell pocket is always great!
Maxine
I love this book. We don’t get books like that in South Africa. So I often feel cut off from thing s as we all s o don’t get many of the fasteners and stiffening products that are available elsewhere. With the ever worsening exchange rate I probably wouldn’t be able to afford them if they were available. Thank you for your lovely patterns.
Lisa G.
I like a cross shoulder purse, not too big – not too small. I like my hands free for shopping and it’s easier on my shoulders and neck.
Karenj
Ok, so here’s my problem. It depends on where I’m going. I have the ‘big bag’ , the go to the store purse, the head to the specialist out of town tote and the “heading to my daughters for the day to craft’ bag. lol Which means I love books like this!! The one thing my main regular purse/bag must have is small pockets. It has to be mid size even tho it’s mainly my wallet and a few things I can’t leave home without. I have to keep the weight down to a minimum if I’m walking (with a cane) so it can’t slip off my shoulder. (bad back{{to put it mildly}} and neck so when walking it has to be smaller. But if the wheelie is going with me then I like BIG with like on of the other posters mentioned Everything that ‘someone’ might need and everything I think “I might” 🙂
Karenj
I typed too fast and forgot to say I need at least one decent size ‘separate’ pocket or a few smaller ones because I can’t stand just tossing it all in one bag. And the only time I’m walking in some place with just my cane is if it’s close parking and just to run in for a few things. So a smaller size sling would be awesome!
Amanda Taylor
My favorite “bag” is my simple zippered wallet. I rarely carry a purse anymore. While my kids were little we used a black one shoulder bag the hospital gave us, it looks a lot like the gray one shoulder bag. Maybe I should give us an update!
JessZ
I love the one shoulder slings! I have a 2 year old that I’m constantly chasing around, and it’s perfect to toss in a diaper, wipes, wallet and phone when we need to run a quick errand. It’s also cute that I can wear it out to girl’s night, minus the diaper and wipes. 🙂
Melissa Burford
The bag most useful to me is my messenger bag. It holds everything I need throughout my day. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of this book!
Wendy
I love the cross body bag! I use a backpack so my hands are free. But, I absolutely love the cross body bag. It’s a great idea.
Heather
I like medium sized cross-body bags. And I love that sling bag from the cover. I must have it!!!
Mara
I like over the shoulder strap bags with at least one zipper pocket inside for money and keys.
Gill
I love tote bags – especially with lots of pockets!
jessica w
cross body bags have always been the best. Since I have a little baby, I can just sling it over, and I don’t have to worry about it slipping off my shoulder or dropping its contents
Judith Martinez
Right now my backpack (with laptop pocket) is my steady companion since I take my laptop with me so frequently.
Elizabeth
Backpack slings are a must. Ive got three kids, a diaper bag, and 2 hands. Absolutely could not live without one. Plus the kids could always use them too!
Melanie C
I tend to make large bags as I always have so much to carry! I really want to make the cover bag/back pack!
Nancy Hilderbrand
I like the retro rucksack because I need a largebag that closes.
Elizabeth
LOVE the bag on the cover
Linda
My favorite kind of bag has extra pockets on the insides to keep life organized!!!!
Pal MK
Wide strap that doesn’t dig in and enough room to hold a wallet, keys, etc plus a couple of (probably overstuffed) file folders….and closes so the rain doesn’t wet down the (probably overstuffed) file folders
Cecilia O.
I like medium size bags with a cross-body strap so I can wear it while wrangling my two young kids. I also like a zip top because my bags often find themselves tipped upside down or dropped down quickly, durable fabrics as my younger goes to preschool in the woods so my bags have to be able to stand up to being set down in the dirt, and I like lots of pockets for organization.
!ary
I love the one shoulder bag from the cover–just big enough and not too big to overstuff! Thanks for the chance to win.
AngieSue
I like cross-body bags, but they have to be fairly large! And I’ll never make another bag that doesn’t have a ring for my keys!
Nancy from PugMom Quilts!
My favorite bag is a tote, but I love trying new styles! Thanks for the chance to win!
Janine
Thanks for reviewing this awesome book! I would not have known of its existence otherwise 🙂 I love the look of the backpack on the cover, definite project on the horizon!
Kathy Polites
My favorite purse is one that has pockets on the outside, pockets on the inside, and a divider on the inside, a strap that will actually fit over your shoulder and that is in an awesome print!
Heidi K
I use my little purse most of the time, but I love using simple tote bags to carry things around too.
Elizabeth
I’ve been wanting to make a backpack-style purse for while. The cross body bag just might fill the bill!
Sherri West
I’d like to try the sling bag on the front cover.
Sue
I love bags! Would like to make some of the swim bags for my grandchildren. Great idea!
Natalie (QSOgirl)
Right now, it’s a diaper bag, all the way…. though it’s nice to have a smaller purse ready to go if I ever get a moment to run out by myself. Which makes me think that maybe the most useful bags for me are zipper pouches so that I can switch quickly!
Lisa Garrett
My favorite bag is a light cross body which is big enough for my iPad.
yanira
backpacks!
Holly D
I like to see totes, but I always use a cross body type of bag while shopping because it leaves my hands free.
Melissa (Books and Things)
I use totes a lot. I love the look of that backpack.
Gayle Bryant
My favorite bag is a crossbody bag big enough to hold my tablet along with my little wallet.
Indianna
I’d love to make the backpack as then my hands are kept free or for when I’m out on my bike.
kelli
I love cross body bags. I can really keep my stuff close and find what I need quickly.
Karen
I’ve had my eye on that one shoulder backpack on the cover of On the Go Bags since I first read about the book. I really like something small and doesn’t slip all over while my hands are busy with other things. Thanks so much for the zipper pouch tutorial–just what I need to finish up my Christmas list!
Genesis Williamson
I like a bag that has lots of pockets. I don’t like digging around the bottom of a bag that is filled with receipts, gum wrappers, bandaids (I have twin toddlers), and miscellaneous crumbs from whatever snack I stowed in there. I like a medium sized purse with some space but not one of those giant totes that you could carry your kid around in. I am also totally cheap, so making a bag is an appealing idea!
Keri Chu
I need a bag that will hold my Erin Condren life planner. It goes everywhere with me and I’m tired of carrying it in my hands. I need to make a cute bag that has a big pocket for it.
Janice
I’m still on the hunt for that ideal everyday bag that will had wallet, phone, small notebook and a sewing/craft project.
Barbara
Newest fav: a divided basket to hold my fabric stash, but which will do so much more soon! Hence, the van organizer! I know the book is something I’d love to have as I prepare for our planned move into a tiny house on wheels which will always be “on the go”! The projects are tailor made for me! The organizer will be just the ticket for our home’s loft storage and for our vehicle as we travel and stay in our state and national parks. A smart backpack will be necessary as we hike the trails, too, and there is frequent shopping for groceries for a tiny tiny house, so totes are a necessity! And who among us doesn’t love a new purse! My collection of practical bags will be an important part of our journey, as will my beloved sewing machine!
Debrah
Right now I’d love the purse pockets because my back pack purse is a mess inside. They would make my life easier!
Laura
I like a smaller cross body bag which has a pocket on the outside for keys and pockets on the inside so I can find things. It’s always surprising that I can “hunt for things” even in a smaller bag. (Perhaps that ‘s one of my special talents?) This book looks fabulous.
Kirbee
My favorite type of bag is something that conforms to my body, but is nice a huge, that way, when it’s empty, it’s light and portable, but can be crammed full during the day’s errands!
Carmen N
I love tote bags – plenty of room for my daily stuff, a knitting project or book and lots of pockets
Kathy Brown
I love a cross body bag that is big enough for my phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses. But no bigger, I do not want to carry other people’s stuff!
Laura
I’m in the diaper bag stage of my life. But aside from that, I love a cool tote bag.
Lee Taylor
I always use a larger cross body bag. Running after a toddler requires one!
Stacy Alfano
I love big, roomy bags to carry my stuff everywhere!
Kelly
I love a cross body bag with lots of pockets! It stays on my shoulder, leaves my hands free, and gives me the chance to carry everything I need. I spent hours searching for my most recent cross body bag, so it would make more sense to customize and sew my own. This book looks beautiful from the pictures you’ve shared. I’m eager to check it out.
Ritz
There’s no such thing is too many bags! That’s like saying that someone has too much fabric! I’m excited about this book! Bag pattern books make me happy, just like instant download patterns!
Carla G
A cross body bag with multiple pockets is my go to everytime I leave home. 🙂 That way I have 2 hands free to shop or deal with my kids.
Leigh
Definitely cross body messenger style bags that can hold my laptop, notebooks, and coffee thermos for busy grad school nights
