This week of (30) Days of Sundresses is proudly brought to you by The Ribbon Retreat.
This amazingly named sundress tutorial is brought to you by Sabra of Sew a Straight Line. I had the privilege of meeting Sabra (briefly) at SNAP and then hanging out with her more during Fabric Weekend 2013. She is as funny as she appears on her blog (with an offbeat and dry sense of humor) and more beautiful (her pictures don’t do her justice). And she has deployed both the humor and the beauty in service of this sundress:
She started with a commercial pattern and altered to get this look (and can you believe this was also the base for her wedding dress that she made herself?) Go to her post to get the tutorial.
Don’t forget to enter this week’s giveaway from sponsor The Ribbon Retreat.
And in case you’ve somehow missed out on one of the awesome and fabulous tutorials this month, you can click any picture to go to the post.

Thanks for having me, Melissa!!
I didn’t make my wedding dress, though. My aunt did. I probably should have said that when I emailed you the info, huh? Sorry! But I did use the same pattern for this dress 🙂
Felicia
That dress is stunning! Thanks for sharing Melissa’s pattern can’t wait to go check it out and put on my to sew list.

Oh, I just LOVE the fabric and look of this dress! Just lovely!
Beatrice
This dress is absolutely lovely. I regret not having found more information about this dress on the site “Sew a straight line”. I have got a pattern for the bust but there is not information about waistband and skirt (rectangular piece folded or cut in a circle). I think it’ an idea but I can’t understand I find it in 30 free Sundress Tutorials.
I complain but I do not blame you, you’re doing a fabulous job and I often come to visit you.
Go on and thanks a lot.
Beatrice
