Today’s item was for Bean – a Cool Cardigan. He’s in between a size and size 3 right now, so I went ahead and did the size 3.
The fabric is a great jersey print from a cool indie fabric shop we have here, TexStyles. They don’t sell online, but I found a bunch of great knits when I went in. It’s a small shop, and they didn’t even get annoyed with my over active kids. A winner in my book.
I love the old man buttons that bean chose for the sweater. This was of course after I talked him out of the pink kitties he grabbed at first.
A productive Day 4. My list now looks like this:
For Tater:
- Tigger costume
- 3 long sleeve Raglan t-shirts
- 1 long sleeve Hipster Henley (will blog tomorrow)
- 1 New pattern that I’m not talking about yet (almost done)
For Bean
- Raincoat
- 1 long sleeve Raglan t-shirt
- 1 Cool Cardigan
And if you follow me on Instagram (yes, I finally joined. @mellysews) you’ve seen a sneak peek of both the new pattern for Tater and my drafting (during library storytime) of the next pattern.
So, if I can knock out that raincoat and costume tomorrow, then I can spend days 6&7 working on the new pattern set.
Hope everyone else is feeling productive.

The cardigan is so cute, but your son really steals the show! What a great picture!

I love the knit fabric. So adorable for a little man sweater. And I can’t wait to see what you’re drafting. As soon as I get through the stack of pdf patterns I’ve got printed and waiting for me, I’m going to try your Henly pattern.
