Ha! I made it look like I did a ton of sewing on Instagram (follow me @mellysews – so much fun there!) but really I just crossed #2 off my list.
You can see the original shirts here:
Longhorn raglan
Stars V-neckĀ (fabric designed by me)
Scribbles t-shirt
Snap shoulder raglan
Bicycle V-neck
Baby Blanket raglan
Started with handmade long sleeve shirts (and a pair of store bought pants with holes in the knees) that I don’t want to throw away, but that won’t be worn anymore unless they’re short sleeved. There’s no one to hand down to after Bean wears these.
Chopped sleeves off and hemmed. Bonus: got rid of stained long sleeves.
Coming off of very little sleep at SNAP (well, for me anyway) and traveling, I feel pretty accomplished about day 2. What about you? What did you get done? Leave me links, I’d love to see.

Tricky, tricky! Seriously though, I can’t wait until boy number 3 starts wearing the handmade hand-me-downs so I can start getting double use out of them. Goodbye sleeves and long pants when they are out of season!

ahhhhh! smart lady!

That’s the best way to feel you’ve accomplished so much!

I’ve been thinking about a few conversion to get more wear out of stuff now- instead of a maybe someday.. Well timed post!
