Today I’m going to show you this cute Game Day Dress tutorial.
If you’ve ever read my about me page, you know I’m married to a football coach. Seasons at our house are divided into Football season, Not Football season, and Spring Football season. Â And Football season starts in August.
So it was high time I made myself a game day dress – much cooler than shorts for the first scrimmage of the year in the August heat.
You’ll probably see more Tater taken photos as we move through football seasons. Hubby is pretty busy until sometime in November.

Looks super cute and very comfy. So you’re life is basically like Friday Night Lights, right?

Hi Melissa, I’m not trying to be nosy, but are you in Austin? My husband went to McCallum (many many moons ago) which is why I’m asking? We currently live in Round Rock. I love your blog and have picked up quite a few sewing tips from you, so thank you for all you do. Kim – txkickerbelle at yahoo (dot) com

Super cute!!! Found you on Brassy’ Apples link party. I’m a mom of a high school football player and would love to show my spirit in a cute dress like this instead of the awful boxy t-shirts that I wear every week.

Oh how fun! I need to make one of these for myself, and some of my girlfriends, now that college football is upon us! Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
I would love it if you would link up at Martha Mondays, open now through Wednesday night!

Melissa, you have an adorable family.
My friend, who also sews, saw this and suggested that we make one for each of our 12 sports mothers and boosters at the school where we have children/grandchildren on the various teams. Sounds like an easy and fun project, since we plan to include non-sewers in the process. If you don’t sew, you can pin and cut a pattern, or take measurements, all with a short tutorial on how we need it done.
Thanks for this tutorial/idea.
