Striped Maxi Dress with free pattern - sew a maxi dress for women - 30 Days of Sundresses - Melly Sews

I have no idea how I missed this dress the first time you made it, but I love this dress!!! Maybe it’s the empire waist, but there’s something very “Pride & Prejudice” about it, which I love and I think it will be perfect for our crazy Central Texas summers 🙂

Off I go to try your tutorial on making sewing patterns bigger (I’m an XL)…wish me luck!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!

I love, love, love this dress! It would work so well with my pear-shaped shortness that doesn’t make natural waist dresses very flattering. Unfortunately, I’ve been organizing my fabric this week and experiencing increasing horror at the number of ufos. So I might need to pin this for next summer!

I love this dress and would love to make it. I can’t seem to be able to find the pattern for the bodice.

Thank you! I have been looking for a pattern like this for two years. I had one when I was younger and loved this dress. Thank you again, you made my day.
