This has been a busy week, but I promise lots of good stuff coming up to share (like Project Run and Play – they announced the themes today here). In the meantime, I had Tater take a picture of me (since Hubby and I worked crazy hours this week) in a spring skirt.
I had to set the camera up on a tripod and guess where to stand, but I think he did a pretty good job!
The skirt is a half-circle skirt with a yoke, and it’s made from this pretty embroidered organza over a lighter colored lining.
I’m a sucker for embroidery, so when I saw the fabric I knew I had to get it. The only issue is that I have exactly ONE shirt that looks OK with this color, which is somewhere between pink and purple, and the shirt is a little snug, since it’s from pre-mommy body days. I’d love to throw in another color (since getting ride of all the extra skin in my midsection is going to require further intervention than I have time for at the moment), but nothing I’ve tried seems to go. Any suggestions?

That skirt is gorgeous, perfect for Easter. I also think youtr top is perfect and you look great! A more fitted top can be very figure flattering. I have a target brand spanx knock off for when I am feeling self conscious in a slightly “too fitted” top. It makes all the difference!

White, Oatmeal, Light Brown, Olive, Ivory, Black….any of the basic colors would really make the skirt stand out on it’s own.
When I need a little inspiration I go to pinterest and see how other people have worn items of the same color.
