A late post today – we were at Hubby’s football game until late last night, and due to other kid related and business related stuff, I am just now sitting down to write this post – usually I schedule ahead. So enjoy the live rambling.
Recently I’ve started following a couple of kids fashion blogs – mostly Planet Awesome Kid (which hasn’t updated recently) and Children With Swag. I like seeing what real kids are wearing. And of course I like to take style trends into account with pattern design.
I have some new Blank Slate Patterns in the works to be released at the end of the month, so I’ve been looking ahead to fall. If you follow me on Pinterest you’ve see the kinds of things I’ve been obsessing over for fall, but it’s definitely still summer here.
Things like cardigans
And colored pants (Clean Slate versions, perhaps?)
Henleys
And polos
Incidentally, I’ve been thinking about doing a version of the What I Wore posts that man bloggers do. But I don’t want to show you what I wore, I want to show what the boys wore. I’m proud to say that they’ve gotten to the point that they wear something me-made pretty much every day.
What do you think – would you be interested in seeing the day-to-day of how we do homemade style in our house?
Lastly in this random-ish post, if you haven’t given input on this poll, I’d appreciate hearing from you.
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I love boy style. Bring it I say – I’d love to see what your guys are wearing!

Oh I’d LOVE to buy a cardigan pattern from you! I have the owly baby one, which is great, but better for girls and not big enough for H. I just bought fabric today to make him some new Blanks slate shorts for his first day of preschool next week. And I will definitely be using that pattern to make him a rainbow of cords for fall 🙂

Super cute! Do it! I started doing it with Vince, but since the baby I haven’t really been able to do any ‘special’ posts lately. Mine was here: http://www.max-california.com/search/label/toddler%20street%20style

I think that’s an awesome idea. I love the What I Wore posts…I think for kids they would be even better.
