Hey y’all – let me introduce you to my other lovely sister in law! During this month of sundresses, I wanted to take time to show off a few of the patterns in my shop that work well for summer. This is the Marigold Dress, made with the cap sleeve option, and I just love how it looks on my sis in law.
The pocket detail is one of my favorite parts of this dress – because pockets! Also because if I don’t purposely draft a pocket into my sewing, I forget to add them. Every.time.
I also love how flattering and comfortable this dress is for women of all sizes. The Marigold Dress has a ton of options, including a skirt and a tie sash for the dress. Unfortunately, I used every last bit of this Budquette Voile in Nightfall by Bari J and some creative cutting to get this dress made. So instead of the sash, we opted for a belt with the dress.
The Marigold Dress pattern comes in sizes XXS-XL and is available here.

This is gorgeous. I need fabric to make me one. And to trace the pattern. But I love how this one turned out. Your sister in law looks fabulous!

So pretty! I have some voile in my stash that’d be perfect for this dress. I love the soft feminine gathers at the shoulder!
