Suzanne and I had the same idea for back to school – the Prepster Pullover. I’ve got one on my cutting table for Bean, but in the meantime enjoy her cute creation!
Hey Melly Sews readers, Suzanne here again from Pattern Revolution. Today I am sharing another great pattern for BOYS!!!! I have two boys, so I am always on the look out for great boy patterns. The Prepster Pullover called to me because 1) it is a pattern for WOVEN fabric, 2) it gives the look of a classic oxford without ALL the buttons, and 3) it is the perfect pattern for back to school.
How could you not love this!?!?!? Classic with clean lines, and still comfortable for my active boy.
I used this awesome poplin that I got from Mabel Madison - the VW buses are retro and so cool, and my son love that he has 'cars' all over his new shirt. Poplin is the perfect choice for this pattern, the tight weave doesn't wrinkle easily and has such a gorgeous finish.
Nervous about the placket???? DON"T BE!!!! Melissa's instructions walk you through the steps with clear pictures that will give you the confidence to add a new technique to your repertoire.
It is Back to School time - so go get sewing and send those boys of yours off to school in style!!!
