Hey y’all – last video in this series for a bit. Today we’ll go over how to use your child’s measurements to fit a shirt, based on my Prepster Pullover pattern.
You can watch the video below, or if it won’t play for some reason, see it on YouTube here.
If you missed the video on measuring your child, you can find that here. And if you’re interested in fitting pants, you can see that video here. Â

Thank you for these videos! My daughter has funky in-between sizing, too, so until now I’ve been constantly torn on whether I should follow a pattern that sort of works, or just draft one myself using bits and pieces. Thanks for showing us how to adjust a pre-existing pattern, with the comforting reminder that even if it looks odd on paper (like the diagonally cut sides), it will fit well on the kid. It’s also great to see the whole pattern spread out and not watch you shuffle papers, which I tend to do–it’s so much clearer to see it all at once. And of course it’s great to see and hear you think through the adjustments. Now I can finally attempt to fit her Clean Slate pants–properly!

Wow, thank you!!! My daughter is of average height but sooooo very slim. I usually have to modify so much to fit her her tiny frame. This helped me to know how to do it quicker than staring at the pattern for hours wondering if I slim this, how do I slim that and so on 🙂
