Y’ALL. I finally got a whole outfit done and ON A KID for this KCW.
These Clean Slate Shorts are upcycled from these jeans (which have gotten too big for me. Yay!)
And the Blank Tank is sewn from the leftover Spoonflower fabric that I designed specifically for the Beachy Boatneck.
While I love Spoonflower interlock, you can see in the picture above that the printing isn’t solid – it’s a little faded looking and has places where the interlock shows through that are very obvious on the wider band of mustard. It doesn’t bother me, as that’s the look I was going for, but it’s something to note.
I made these shorts size 5 in length but the width of the size 18m. Tater is just so skinny. But hey, that’s why I sew for him. I also did patch pockets on these, much like I did for the denim pair I made on Wednesday.
I also finished the third pair of shorts, but didn’t take pictures of them. Maybe tomorrow when I finish the short sleeve Beachy Boatneck on my list.
We’re in the home stretch!

I was thinking that not only are you knocking these outfits out of the park every day, but this little man is becoming quite the model! Such a cutie!

Oooh I like the shorts color! Go Tater!! He’s so adorable.
My son is skinny minnie too–I wish I would have thought to make the width of the pants I just SLAVED over the last few days smaller than the length size (DUH!)
Love the spoonflower fabric too–good job Melly Mel! LOL!
