Hey y’all! I can hardly believe it’s been a year since I started the Blank Slate Patterns Sewing Team, and this is seriously one of the best decisions I’ve made. IĀ get so excited to share the awesomeness of these ladies with you each week. It’s been great fun watching them, their creativity and their blogs.
As awesome as they are, they’re also all human and some team members made the decision that they needed to focus on other things this year, which I totally get. I wish them the best and have been so honored to work with them – plus I’m hoping they’ll still drop in around here occasionally š However I am THRILLED that 8 of last year’s team has decided to continue posting, woot! So we’ll still get our fix of Sabra, Veronica, Jess, Sarah, Dixie, Stacey, Teresa and Suzanne.
That also means that today I get to introduce the four new team members that will be joining us this year. I also have to say that I was blown away by the talent that applied for these open spots and it was a hard decision to narrow it down to these 4 ladies, but I can’t wait to see what they do!

Building a house can change you. It sure changed me, Annika! When thinking about our new house, I wanted to make it really cozy and nice inside. However, looking at many, many pages on the internet, going from one blog to the other, I found something that I really wasnāt even looking for.
I found cool kids clothes! Sewn by women of my age. No boring hand sewing as I had learned it in school, but real fun and fashionable clothes. I was hooked! Fast forward 4 years and sewing has become my biggest passion. I think pretty much all the time about what I want to sew, how to sew it, fabrics etc. I started with kids clothes, but more and more am also sewing clothes for myself, which due to the whole curvy body thing is another cup of tea.
I started my blog in September 2013 not only to document my own sewing (german: NƤhen), but also to try and connect with bloggers from all over the world (hence the connection in the blog name).

Seven years ago I was diagnosed with a serious wheat allergy, so I do occasionally share Gluten-free recipes as well.Ā Mostly, my blog is my online visual diary. I wish to give you a peek into our lives (where I highlight the positive)Ā and ask you to join us on our journey through parenthood, creativelyā¦ And maybe learn some new fun projects, together, along the way.
