Hey y’all! One of my goals for this year is to pump up my YouTube channel. So far there’s just the video from the Coastal Cargos Sewalong and the video of how I use basic tools in Illustrator to draft patterns, but I also have a little trailer I made below. I’m hoping to greatly improve my videos this year too!
Side note: did you know I actually have a film degree? Yup, but I graduated so long ago that we were just starting digital filmmaking/editing my senior year. Everything before that was still done on film – like actual tangible film that we had to send off to be developed. So I’m still learning all the ins and outs of video for YouTube, but hopefully it will be a fast curve for me because I think the basics of composition, lighting, editing, etc have stayed the same. Just the technology seems to have changed! (Mostly to frustrate me, I think. Because I swear some of the buttons the tutorials tell you to click to do things are.not.there)

I’d love it if you considered subscribing to the channel – I have more in the works very soon! And that’s where you come in – I want to know what kinds of things you’d like to see on video instead of just photo tutorials. Is there a tutorial or technique you still find trick, even after seeing a photo tutorial? Let me know in the comments – I’m looking for a few ideas to round out the first episode list I’m creating.

Yay! I love watching sewing YouTube vids in my downtime before bed. It helps me relax, and I loved your Coastal Cargos video so I’m so very excited to see what you come up with. I am already a subscriber 🙂

I didn’t know about your filmaker’s degree, such an interesting career!
