Today it is my honor to welcome Kirstin from Kojo Designs to the series! I started following her blog when she was competing in Sew-Vivor over at Family Ever After and have since gotten to know her further through blogging. And (be jealous) I will get to meet her in person at SNAP! later this year. Take it away Kirstin!
Hello Melly Sews friends! I’m Kirstin, half of the sister team that blogs over at kojodesigns, and I’m thrilled to be here today as part of Sew In Tune.
I know Valentine’s Day was last week, but my little Missy Prissy has a thing for hearts and sparkles, so we’re drawing it out a bit around here.
My Sew In Tune inspiration song is “My Funny Valentine” by Frank Sinatra. The line You make me smile with my heart is just perfect for my sparkle-loving, lovey girl.
To make a heart of sequins-
Start with a plain shirt (I sewed this one using Figgy’s Banyan Tunic Pattern). Cut out a paper heart. Using a fabric pen, trace onto your shirt.
Thanks for having us for Sew in Tune, Melissa and Stacey- what a fabulous series! And, friends, come on over to kojodesigns at any time.
Make sure to go by and check out some more of my personal faves among Kirstin’s projects, like these (click on any pic to go to the post)
Remember to enter your music inspired outfits in the Flickr pool for a chance to win these fabulous prizes
And make sure to come back tomorrow to see what Elegance and Elephants sewed up. Hint: Domo arigato…
