As a mother of a child about going to kindergarten next year, I can’t imagine…
As a former teacher who feels so much sympathy and respect for all of those still teaching, who are already put under strain and pressure many of us can’t realize on a daily basis, to think of having to cope with something like this when you go to work…
So no handmade style today. Just a moment of internet silence and prayer for the parents, teachers, children and community of Newtown, Connecticut.

Thanks for posting this, Melissa. Our kids are close to the same age, I think, and this has hit me like a ton of bricks too. I’m so, so sad and so, so angry. Everything else seems trivial, and I think kids everywhere are getting extra hugs and kisses this weekend. Take care.
