Pin the elastic to one of your outside squares. I folded it in the middle and pinned down to keep it out of the way.
Pin your other outside square on top, right sides together.
Sew around three edges with 1/4″ seams.
Turn right side out and unpin the elastic.
Repeat with the other two squares for the lining. Fold the top edge down 1/4″ to the wrong side and press.
Insert the lining into the outer bag.
Fold the edges of the outer bag in 1/4″, so they match the lining edges. Press.
Topstitch around the top of the bag.
Insert your iphone or ipod.
Wear while sewing and enjoy consistent volume of your audiobooks.

Love it! I’ve been using the “tuck it into the sports bra” trick but I have to say, I get some weird looks when it’s time to skip a song. How well does the device stay put when you move around? I’m wondering if I’ll need some extra interfacing in order to use it for jogging.

I made these for my grandsons’ mp3 players, and made sure they were long enough to add a piece of velcro at the top – just a piece in the middle, not all the way across, they put the player in, close the velcro and snake the earphone cord through the places it was open at either end of the velcroed top…worked well!
Thanks!
