Blank Slates for Girls! And other stuff…

I hinted at this last week, and the last pattern has been sent off to the testers, so now I’m going to give you more details.

Blank Slate Basics (for Girls) is currently scheduled for release on September 30! And today you get a sneak peek at one of the new patterns – the Little Bow Pleat Dress.

Some more details:

  • Just like Blank Slate Basics, you’ll get 5 patterns for girls size 18m-8 in the ebook
  • Retail will be $24.95
  • Patterns will also be sold individually for $6.95
  • All of this will be available at www.blankslatepatterns.com

There are no pre-orders this time (live and learn) – instead I am going to simplify my life and yours with a discount code. The first 75 purchasers will receive 50% off the ebook, so the price will be $12.50 for them.

I will release the discount code first on the Blank Slate Patterns Facebook page - you might not have known that I had one for Blank Slate Patterns, but there it is. Like it and you’ll get first access to the code when I post it, sometime this week. The Facebook page is also going to be the first place I post when the ebook goes live, so you’ll know when you can use your code.

In some more exciting news, my original Blank Slate Basics patterns are now carried at a few affiliate sites. You can find me on Go To Patterns, and at Sew, Mama, Sew!

And (I’m so excited about this) I’m also doing exclusive designs for Lil Blue Boo! That’s right, you can now get my Hipster Henley shirt pattern exclusively at Lil Blue Boo – it’s not even available in my shop.

How cool is that? And there are more designs in collaboration with Lil Blue Boo right now, so stay tuned.
OK, so there’s a bunch going on here, which means I hope you’ll bear with me this week as I work behind the scenes. I’ll be bringing some guest posts home, so there will be a free pattern you might have missed, and showing you some more sneak previews of Blank Slate Basics (for Girls!). I’ll be doing some Halloween costume guest posts pretty soon, so I have to get those finished too. And once I get past this week’s crunch, I have several tutorials in mind for October. Lots to look forward to!

And on a more serious note – a little over a year ago when I started this blog, I was in a dark place in my career and I had no idea the path I was about to go down with that first post. I feel so blessed to be able to be doing this – blogging, designing and sewing –  as my job now (and though I’m not making the same income I did teaching, I am infinitely happier). And that wouldn’t be possible without you readers and customers and the general wonderful blogging community, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

If you enjoyed this post, I'd love for you to share, like, +1 or pin with the buttons below the related links. Or  subscribe to my RSS feed or my weekly newsletter  (psst - newsletter subscribers get access to free stuff) so you don't miss out on the latest. Thanks!

  6. Wow!! What a bunch of exciting news!! I’ve been wanting to get Blank Slate Basics for Boys but money has been tight with back to school expenses. Now I have to add the girls version to my “want list!” I love following your blog, you’re such an inspiration! I walked away from my career in nursing a year and a half ago, I loved nursing but the constant stress wasn’t worth it anymore. With my new found free time I rekindled my love of sewing and started up a little business, unfortunately circumstances beyond my control have made me put that on the back burner for now (though the ideas in my head just keep coming! It’s hard keeping them trapped there but I don’t have much time to sew right now) Anyway, congratulations on all the great news, it’s so exciting!!!
