I am so excited this series has started and that I can share what I’ve been hard at work on over the past month! The pieces you see in this post are all patterns from my newly released eBook, Blank Slate Basics.
As all of you who sew for boys know, the patterns available for boys are about 1/4 or less of the patterns available for girls. I am on a mission to start to correct that. My goal with this set of patterns is to give those who sew for boys a set of “Blank Slates” – the things boys wear all the time – so that you don’t have to worry about drafting patterns, you can skip right to expressing creativity through fabric choice, embellishment and detail.

I love that you are concentrating on the BOYS! There is so little out there for boys and I always have to make my own patterns for my son.

I love the entire idea! I made a tank and shorts combo for Sew in Tune and blogged about it but I kind of winged the patterns on my own and this would have made it so much easier and nicer! Great outfits! And fantastic series! Hurray for boys!
