Suitcase Puppet Theatre – American Crafter Round 2

I won week 2 – holy smokes! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Thanks for voting!

I’m feeling the pressure after my (completely unexpected) win in week one, and I’ve decided to do another Not Sewing Project for my week two entry – the Suitcase Puppet Theatre. This is a vintage suitcase to which I added a hinged pop-up stage. I love that my boys can set up a tabletop theatre in seconds, and when they’re done, the puppets and everything stores safely inside. I also love the vintage peddler feel of the whole thing, and chose the scrapbook papers that I Mod-Podged onto the stage proscenium and the suitcase lid accordingly. My boys did not want to put it away and go inside for lunch! See the tutorial on how to make it HERE
