Tater’s first sewing project

While I whipped up some ruffle trimmed shorts to complete an outfit for a birthday gift this morning, Tater ran around terrorizing everyone, particularly Bean. To district him (and possibly save Bean’s life) I asked dear Hubby to give him some scrap fabric and a threaded needle. Hubby explained the basics of a stitch to Tater, demonstrating and helping (I wish I had pictures, but I was at the sewing machine!), and Tater with a few stitches and wadded up scraps came up with this:

Another view:
I sewed the bow onto a scrap of fabric cut to ribbon length because there was no way it was going to be held on with scotch tape to Tater’s handpainted wrapping paper, and this is what we took to the party:
The bow didn’t exactly coordinate with the wrapping paper, though it did match what was inside, which I shall show you tomorrow!
