Ruffled sunsuit

As I mentioned in the previous entries, I’ve been sewing for a girl – here’s my latest creation for her:

I’m really having fun with these ruffles, but now that my new serger knife came in, I’m ready to have at the t-shirts again.
Look for another creation for Bean tomorrow.
And on the plaid pants – as feared, they won’t go over Bean’s chunky thighs. I have modified the pattern, and I’m glad the print I used is unisex, because little girl will be getting those pants too. She’s blessed with skinny limbs even as an almost 1-year old, so they should fit her perfectly.
In other news, I’ve set the goal for myself of making 31 things in July – 1 per day, with the goal of putting a collage of all the July projects together on the 1st of August. So far I’ve got 15 things, but 4 of them are couch pillows – so should they even count as 4 things or as 1 thing? Right now I plan to count them as one set, unless we get to the end of the month and I need more things to make 31. Stay tuned.
